Philanthropy
The trusty rhino has been a part of Ecko since the beginning, when Marc, inspired by the toys he played with as a boy, decided to use it as a logo. Sadly, the world's rhino populations have shrunk dramatically over the last several decades, and the animal whose indomitable spirit guides *ecko unltd., is in real danger.
To help reverse this course, Ecko provided critical funding to the International Rhino Fund, whose mission is to double the populations of the Indian, black, and Sumatran rhinos, three of the world's most threatened species. In recognition of his support, the San Diego Zoo has named one of its baby rhinos Ecko. Marc was also responsible for rescuing two rhinos, Jack and Boom Boom, from a Catskills game farm.
